The Flying Cloud is a local historical dance group who performs historical ballroom dances from six different periods from the early 1800s through the 1930s. Join them for a Jane Austen Ball featuring dance from the Regency period. Guests will watch, learn, and dance period dances! Costume (Regency Style) is admired, but not required. For those new to vintage dance, contemporary formal attire is also appropriate for balls. Leather-soled or soft-soled shoes required. Light refreshments are served.

A Regency Ball was an elegant, rule-bound social event of England’s Regency era (roughly 1811–1820), where dancing, etiquette, and marriage prospects intersected. Central to social life—particularly among the gentry and upper classes—these balls served not only as entertainment but also as vital venues for courtship and social networking. Live musicians played popular dance tunes of the day, and attendees participated in English country dances, cotillions, and reels. The dances were highly structured and performed mostly in square sets or long reels, requiring dancers to be familiar with the steps and figures in advance.

Jane Austen lived and wrote squarely within the Regency period, and her novels provide some of the most vivid literary records of its social world. Balls and dances frequently appear as pivotal scenes in her works—moments when relationships shift, characters reveal their true natures, and social tensions come to the surface. Austen herself loved dancing and regularly attended local balls and assemblies. She is inseparable from this world, as her novels both depict and subtly critique the social dynamics enacted at such gatherings, securing her place as one of the most enduring voices of the Regency era.

This pay-what-you-can event, with VIP experiences available, invites the public to engage with newly devised visual, performance, and multimedia art that reflects the spontaneity and collaboration of a whirlwind creative weekend.

​Join Soaring Soul Wellness in welcoming Dr. Arin Levy of Enso Sounds & Healing Arts to Cincinnati for an immersive gong meditation designed to cultivate stillness, deep listening, and presence. Surrounded by the resonant tones of up to 16 gongs, singing bowls, and other sound elements, you’ll be guided into a meditative state that supports nervous system regulation, reflection, and restoration.

The session begins with a brief grounding to help us arrive fully in the space and community. We’ll take a moment to appreciate all sounds as healing, and release expectations of our time together. After a short guided meditation, Arin will weave a tapestry of improvised sound into a sonic story that unfolds intuitively. After the sound fades, we’ll rest together in a moment of silence to integrate the experience and appreciate the sounds we heard, and the stillness we feel. 

Please arrive 15 minutes early to get settled. Bring a yoga mat, blanket, and any props you need to rest comfortably on the floor. We honor this space through a shared agreement of quiet, stillness, and mutual respect—to support an inclusive, caring environment where each participant is free to simply be.

An intergenerational All-Comers Choir for the Joy of Singing in Community.

The Riverside Sing is 10 weeks of community singing together. Each week, we gather in a welcoming circle to learn songs by ear and lift our voices in harmony. Singing isn’t just fun—it’s proven to boost mood, reduce stress, and support overall well-being. No experience is needed; just come as you are and leave uplifted, connected, and renewed.

Blues dancing is an umbrella term for a family of historical and modern dances done to blues music. Rooted in African movement, blues dance places a high value on improvisation, rhythm, polyrhythm, and solo movements. Most partner dance forms have risen from cultural groups during periods of growth and creativity. 

Join us  at 7:00 for an hour long lesson on Ballroomi'n blues and learn to dance to artists like Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald and even modern jazz and blues artists. 

$10 cover includes the lesson and 2 hour dance afterwards.

No experience or partner required. 

The event is BYOB.

​Blitz Tournament - $30. Tournament is G/60 - 3 Rounds. 

Sunday Chess Tournament - $30.  Time Control: G/60  d/5.  Each Player receives 60 minutes with a 5-second delay.

Tournament Format: USCF-Rated. 3 Round Swiss. Play 3 Games against players in your section.

After all players have registered, we divide the players into section groups: 8 player sections. 6 player sections. 4 player sections.

Sections are arranged by rating using the latest monthly published ratings.

1 half-point bye is allowed if declared before round 1.

Current US Chess membership is required.

Play 3 USCF games. G/60; d5. We divide the players into sections.

Hang out and play casual chess in the skittle's room with the Community.
